Pop music is typically aimed at a mainstream audience. A  mainstream audience likes to stick with what they know; chart music, prime time TV and local nights out. A mainstream audience prefers to stick with what's safe rather than rock the boat. 

A mainstream audience member is far more likely to listen to pop music than any other genre of music. Typical pop music conventions such as bright colours, upbeat tone and repetitive lyrics tend to attract these mainstream audience members.

Including these typical conventions within my pop music video is how I intend to attract a mainstream audience.
